"Pardon me. Im going to stop here because by the end of the call I knew the dummy clearly have me stereotyped because my name is not a BOB or Mary...I find all the time... these underwritters  hate the fact that a "blk kid " is doing anything economically productive in corporate America. I know its off topic but if I have over 2M in assets because I own all shares of my company. At least say FAX in a 4506T for me and/or the company. Barclay  are a-holes! "

I can believe they stereotyped you, I know for a fact they are a-holes, and I should tell you, for whatever it's worth, they probably treat everyone that way.  My husband was made some simple promises by them, so he did what they told him to do, then called in as instructed to get the goodies (a change from a $500 iTunes card to a $500 Gulf card - really, is that asking too much?  Keep in mind they told him they'd do it) and they spent about an hour with him going over his credit report and telling him what a loser he appears to be, and then they said, "By the way, NO."

Just last weekend he called and closed the card.  I won't even go into what they did to me, but let me tell you, they have no mercy and if they decide they don't like ANYTHING about you, it's time to just put that card through the shredder.

Thank you for replying, I had to vent. but  you are right. i felt that it was personally directed toward me because she asked WHERE DID YOU GET THAT MONEY FROM? I just dont appreciate the games ppl play.

Well, I hate Barclay so much that I DO believe they could have stereotyped you, and/or they might just treat everyone that way.   My point is that they are capable of anything, They asked my husband so many questions I think they had to know his underwear size and his blood type.

And they still told him no!  I am done with that company.

Sorry to hear about your experiences..as a business person you understand that sometimes business decisions are made that customers/clients take personally..I deal with that and surely must have, and since the banking reforms CCCs and banks are more apt to question finances and even FR long time good standing customers...I don't let these things personally affect me because I understand our symbiotic relationship; they want to make money, I want to accrue a reasonable amount of debt and get assigned a high credit rating for managing these debts responsibly...the only time I'll express concern is if an action is made that may jeapordize the good rating I've taken the time and effort to achieve...that being said, if you feel you were treated unjustly, do some research and find names of corporate people and send a few emails and express the same frustration to them that you shared with us...

WOW, I havent ever had anything but good luck with my US Airways card. I went to all kind of third world countries. Charged up all kind of things.

PIF. The only thing that I wont do is leave anything on the card. 18.75 % is too high for me.

Last night I filled out the form for a $7,000 increase.  My TR and EX are both frozen, however my EQ isn't.  Just logged into my acount and CL was increased to $12,000 from $5,000, as requested.  Of course I got the 'will contact you in 48 hr message' when I applied.

How often can you request a  CLI??? My account is about 4 months old and I have already received one CLI...

Maybe thinking about hitting the CLI link again...
