Barclays Travelocity

This is my first time posting so please bear with me.  A little about me.  I filed BK7 March 2008, my TU score is 654 and have been trying to rebuild ever since. Recently I apped for the Travelocity card and got denied.  I called for a recon and that was still denied because of too many inquiries last year and they want to see more established credit.  Here is what I have right now:

Orchard $1700.000 CL - $9.99 on the card opened 11/2009

Cap One $1500.00 CL - $0 on card Opened 11/2009

Cap One $3000.00 CL - right now $500.00 on the card but I pay this card in full every month, Opened 4/2010

Navy Fed $5000.00 CL - $1079.00 on card but I just set it up to be paid in full on Monday, Opened 11/2010

Best Buy Rewards Mastercard $300.00 CL - $0 on card opened 11/2009

Old Navy $200.00CL - $0 on card, Opened 9/2010

JC Penney $800.00 - $123 on card, set up to be paid in full on Tuesday, Opened 11/2010

Walmart $500.00 - $300 on card, set up to be paid in full on Tuesday, Opened 11/2010

I also I have a car loan and a secured loan that I have been paying for 8 months.

I have had First Premier and Credit One after bankruptcy but I have since closed these accounts.

Barclays told me I should wait for 6 months and apply again, which I don't mind waiting but it's just very frustrating when you think you are making progress and then run into a brick wall.  Makes me not want to apply with them.  Need suggestions if I am on the right path or not.  Thank you

Barclays is super conservative with new credit and 3 accounts recently is a lot for them to get scared. Do you have other inq on ur credit in last 6 months?

Re: Barclays Travelocity

I think you have made great progress.    I would wait the 6 months before the next application.

Re: Barclays Travelocity

I also see Old Navy from 9/2010 bringing the total to 4 so far.  Yes, this will make them a bit nervous, but you may be able to get your foot in the door if you explain why you have so many (tough to do).  I'm sure it will be denied online, where your next option will be to call the recon number.  Again, if you have to beg for credit, I don't think it's really worth it... just keep doing what you're doing and relax a bit.
