not to worry. keep trying. The exact same thing happened to me TODAY as well 10/13/2015.
Honestly, I registered my card and did everything so quickly I think I was ahead of the automated system.
After about 4 or 5 tries, I finally got the automated system. I was approved instantly for $10K. 
I'll be back in 31 days!
I tried yesterday to do the "phone trick" CLI which should have been 31 days since my last credit increase and was denied.
I tried again this morning and was denised again. 
I'm not sure why and have to wait a week to receive the letter as to why. Maybe Barney's is no longer feeling generious with CLI?? I've had the Barney's card for two months. My inital credit limit was $4500. and was raised to $10k. I was hoping to get up to 30k. 
As the old proverb says "haste makes waste". I wouldn't push those Barney's increases so fast. Try waiting about 2 months or till after your next month statement hits.
If you want to accelerate an increase, stop by the full line store and make a purchase of over your limit like about $15,000 to $20,000 (lots of nice stuff in their 2015 Christmas catalog ). I am sure they will go out of their way to try and accommodate your increase.
