What do you think about the Bellco Colorado Rewards Card? Bellco CU is generally restricted to Colorado residents (hence the name), but anyone can join and get their cards by making a one time $15 donation to their Foundation.
The card offers 3x back on a very wide range of categories including Grocery stores (Walmart and Target included), Gas stations, Wholesale Clubs (Costco and Sams), Recreation centers including ski resorts, golf courses, tourist attractions/muesums, fitness clubs, sporting goods stores, movie theaters and more. 2x categories include internet, cell, and cable subscription services like Netflix, Hulu, etc.
I hear they can be conservative on limits. Any have this card? What do you think about it.
Used to work at Bellco, if you want a good chance, call into one of the branches and talk to a Financial Specialist. They make commssion based on how many people they get approved, so they will advocate for you to underwriting, they can also tell you what credit limit you qualify for.

Good advice! It is a big plus to know in advance what credit limit you qualify for.
The major drawback for me with this card is that in order to get a 1 cent per point redmemtion rate you have to redeem for statement credit in increments of $100. (ouch). They also don't have a resturant category which seems a major ommission.
True, they are more of a big bank vs. credit union, they share customer service with two other credit unions and everything is outsourced through a company called S3. Which is why if you want any kind of decent service you should call into a branch location vs the main customer service member as they don't even work for Bellco.
A pro is that you can get more than one credit product off the one pull (or at least you could when I worked there) so you can go for the credit card and unsecured line of credit if you so choose.

What is the value of each point fit cash back / statement credit?
1 cent per point if you redeem at $100. Less if you opt to redeem at lower amounts.
I am not sure why I see Bellco here as often as I do-especially from out-of-state people. Colorado in general has terrible credit unions and Bellco is really nothing to write home about (they are the largest by members in CO and second in assets). Terrible rates, terrible service. I have three credit unions....two from VA (can you guess which ones? LOL) and one from TX-none from Colorado.
Anyway, have not logged on in a while but saw this and felt the need to comment.

Always a good model for fiscal responsibility!
Of course pardon me its a "Bonus" not a commission.

AKA the WF way, doesn't matter if you asked for the account or not, you get one either way!
