Benfits of adding BofA checking with CC...?

Besides the obvious of making CC payment directly out of BofA checking account online, what other benefits exist by having a checking account along with my Alaska Siggy?

Generally banks can be a little more lenient with regards to underwriting as well if you can maintain higher balances in your checkings / savings.
