Best Bad Credit-Credit Card

Any suggestions on which of those cards mentioned on the "get a credit card" section is good for rebuilding credit. I need to start bringing my score back up. Thanks

BoA secured Visa. What are your FICO scores?

Re: Best Bad Credit-Credit Card

Well I just sent out disputes on my reports. As of this moment... Equifax is 580est. Exp is 580est. TU is 480. But that should be up after they get my letter and clean it up a little. I make about 60k a year and have no current debt.

Here' BoA's preapproval link. By filling it out, it will suggest cards you MIGHT be approved for. This will not result in a hard inquiry. Many here have recommended you apply for one of their prime CCs then get denied, and then be offered to apply for this secured CC. It's likely they will pull EX or EQ which are your better scores if you actually apply for a card/

Re: Best Bad Credit-Credit Card

Thanks for the input. I was just looking at my Credit Union page and saw that I can get a card with my wife as a co-signer. She has great credit and it probably will be our best option.

Re: Best Bad Credit-Credit Card

If you can get a prime card as joint, terrific! FICO scoring wise, joint accounts carry just as much weight as individual accounts

I am normally opposed to cosigners of any kind, but this may be the way for you to go. If you can build a good relationship with your personal Credit Union, you will usually have a friend for life. And normally, they treat you better than banks too. Good luck to you and DW.
