I'm looking at the BofA Susan G. Komen card to bypass the too-many, too-soon Customized Cash card rule, but I kind of hate the design. Have y'all heard of any others that aren't on this list?

Just so you know we're not blowing you off... I think most of us around here (such as myself) stick to the basic red CCRs. I prefer the classic design over any of the "affinity" ones, it does look like the added a bunch of colleges however. 🤷♀️
I wasn't aware there was a too-many-too-soon rule, but I have spaced out my BofA cards 3 years anyways. More than 3 or 4 of them feels like overkill, since I only really want them for categories I don't get 5% in somewhere else (Online Shopping and Travel being their best catch-all categories, with Home Improvement being next since it includes contractors and repairs guys).

I'm guessing they're referencing the old BoA 2/3/4 rule that IIRC they put that in place right around the time they killed off the Merrill+ card and which their 7/12 rule would align with. The 7/12 rule applies to cards from all issuers, whereas the 2/3/4 rule is basically that you can get 2 BoA cards in a month (7/12 rule would apply once you get that 1st approval even if you weren't previously a BoA client), 3 BoA cards in a 12 month rolling window, 4 BoA cards in 24 months. Never heard before that affnity cards were exempted from that rule, am not aware of any cards not on that list.
The rule is you can only get a new vanilla customized cash every 2 years. Affinity cards get around that rule. So the only non alumni group(or teachers association) ones are the American Quarter Horse, Susan G Komen, and the National Educators association, I think those are the only ones you can apply for without being a teacher/alumni.

Interesting! Good thing I space mine out 3 years anyways, lol!
