"Hi,
With the new acquisition of the Best Buy cards, will you be
backdating the TL to when I first opened the account?"
Response:
"Yes, all account history and information was transferred to Citibank. Once your
first statement with Citi is processed the credit bureaus will receive updated
information and will show the account under Citi.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance."
That's encouraging. Hopefully they will stick to it on their own.

That's nice they responded to you. All I got was:
"We appreciate your business and have received your inquiry regarding your account. Our Secure Message Center enables you to e-mail your inquires rather than calling our Customer Service Center. We make every effort to handle these requests using this resource. However, in situations like these, we are required to speak with you directly. Were not getting new cards, right?
Citi has been very nice to me so far, while it was a HP, they did increase me CL from $2500 to $7000 when I asked for CLI like 2 days after they moved my account over to Citi. So, can't complain about that. However, I am growing impatient with how long it's taking to post the account to my CR. But, guess it'll happen when it happens.
Congrats!! I requested a CLI and was denied about 2 weeks ago. CIti still has not reported on my CR.
Today I pulled my Credit Karma report to see if the tradeline was reporting yet.
So far all it shows is the Cap One account was 'closed' and the new Citi tradeline is not on my report yet. today is 10/24. Of course, I had a zero balance last month. Normally the report date is the 20th of the month for me.
I went to the BB account and it is still open and active, no lates, zero balance. I wonder if I should have had a balance report? Is anyone seeing that the citi line is now reporting?
I can confirm that it does report the original opening date, even the original high balance was retained. It appears as BBY/CBNA and I won't know about possible score changes until tomorrow. SW is usually 24 hours behind for me.
I received new cards from Citi today.
So I decided to call BB to see what was going on with reporting.
I got a nice gentleman in Tenn who seemed knowledgeable. This is what he told me:
The CSR's have been told that it will take 1 to 2 billing cycles for the tradeline to start reporting to your CR. He mentioned that the reporting date is the date after the statement due date e.g. if your payment is due on the 14th of the month, the reporting date is the 15th.
He also said that Sept 2013 was not considered a full billing cycle since the accounts were acquired in mid cycle so expect to see the TL in Nov and not Oct.
Hopefully this info is accurate, he seemed to have a handle on it (at least what he was told).

Gamegrrl, was this a replacement of your old Best Buy card or did you apply for a new account recently?
