Best Buy STORE Card Question

In 2 weeks I will be able to ask for my 6 month CLI and this will be my first request since Cap 1 took full control.

Any one ask for a CLI since the full switch from HSBC to Cap 1?

Has any thing changed as far as the procedure...ie is it still a SP etc?

I would like to know the same thing. I haven't asked for a CLI since Cap 1 took over.

HSBC was very kind in the past and approved all my CLIs with no problems.

I asked for cli in mid November and their answer was that was the highest limit for that card. My limit is a measly $500 and been stuck there since I got the card 18 months ago.

i am too also curious..i have had mine sense 2007 with a credit limit of 400, tried  to call in many moons ago and they wouldn't do a CLI and have never asked sense

it depends if you got the card before or after cap1 

if before it will still be a soft pull but ymmv. 

i asked in july and was denied on soft. (through the website)

i have 2500.

others have been hard pull. (not sure of their credit history but they doubled their limit) 

as i always put expect a hard pull and be relieved when it's not. 

as for the lower limit cards could you possibly have a plan b card? i believe those you cant go past a 1k limit and also cant get off the plan b you have to reapply for another card.

i do believe my card that i have was an actual  HSBC ..plan B card   ..bummers will not apply right now ..look on the bestbuy site and Cap 1 now has them at no AF and mine is 59 AF UGH ! Thanks for the insite

I got the HSBC card like six years ago and never got a CLI with them. It was stuck at 1500 the entire time. In November I activated the Cap One card and got an 1100 CLI via the button online.

Prior to transition I was able to request and increase from 1200 to 3000 via HP. After the transition I was able to get a SP increase online from $3000 to $3600. I called to recon the increase and they HP'd me. They declined an increase of any kind beyond the $3600. I whined and they made the limit $4000.

pshhhh we have best buy credit card and havent had a cli since 2008 when act was opened even now that it was tooken over by cap1 they stll said NO its been stuck at $1,200 I recently saw this one person on here that got his card to $3,000 which is prety good. Also someone in here also has a Best Buy Platinum with  25K Thats just amazed me!!! Maybe they wan tot seee EXTREME HEAVY USE?? IDK they weird hhaha

i dont know what extreme is but since ive had my card ive always carried a 0% interest balance. and pif before it expires. 

2500 for 2 years. oh well its only a store card.
