Credit limit increases are handled the same exact way as they were when HSBC backed the cards. I've had 2 increases last year each for $1,500 one from HSBC and one from Capital One and they were both soft pulls online via the website.

I got a HP for an increase from $3,600 to $4,000...lol Not worth it, but I like having round limits haha
But it is better than what the rep initially said, which was declined for anything additional.
Oh I see now didn't catch that at first... well $4k is pretty good for Best Buy Card I would stcik to that but my dads card has been stuck at $1,200 for 5 years now.
