Best Card(s) for Amazon Shopping

Question for the forum:

Which are the most rewarding cards to use on Amazon? We shop A LOT on Amazon, and as of right now, I don’t have an Amazon Visa or store card. I’m trying to avoid apping for a new card at the moment. My siggy shows my cards and I’ve been using my Amex for Amazon purchases.

With your lineup it looks like your QS would be the best (1.5%) return on Amazon if you do not want to apply for anything else.

Looks like you have three 1.5% cards (Cap 1 QS, BoA, and USAA Visa), any of those would be good. Also, there is 1 quarter each year where your Discover It will earn 5%. If I’m seeing your portfolio correctly, those are where I would focus Amazon purchases. I’m still a relative novice at a lot of this, so hopefully our trusted “salty veterans” will chime in!

As I see it you have 2 options

1. If you value Amex MR points at 1.5CPP or higher and are able to get atleast that value out of them. I would stick with the Amex card.

2. Use whatever 1.5% cash back card you like the best.

Isn't your Arrival+ a 2% card? If so, that'd be a tad better than the 1.5% cards.

Keep in mind that for some purchases, price protection or an extended warranty may be a consideration. Apart from digital content, almost everything I buy on Amazon goes on an Amex or Citi card.

Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"

Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

Other than the rotating categories of Disco, Chase free occasionally has some 5% cash back deals. If all else fails, use the one that gives you 1.5% cash back.
