Best Credit Card

DM is getting ready to do a kitchen and two bathroom reno to her home which will be to the tune of about 35K. Will have cash on hand looking for the best credit card with the best SUB.  DM scores all above 760 under 5/24 so chase is an option low inqs across all the three reports income 100K+. Open to all suggestions beside Cap One mom hates them but anyone else is fair game. Current card planned to use was NFCU Flagship has a 30K limit.

Amex Everyday: 27k, BOA Premium Rewards: 70k , Best Buy Visa: 7k , VACU Mastercard: 11.5k, Discover: 25k, Amex Platinum (POT: 37.5k), Apple Card:4K, PNC Cash Unlimited: 30k, Citi Costco: 9.5k, Chase Amazon Prime: 35k

Re: Best Credit Card

Maybe Bank America Cash Rewards, has 3% home improvment catagory. 35k spend plus sub = $1250 back.

I'm guessing that she wants a cash rewards card, and that most of the spend will be non-category. So I would suggest a straight 2% cashback card like PenFed Power Cash Rewards or Citi DoubleCash MC.

Re: Best Credit Card

@Anonymous  hmmmm. Would this 3% back count if she pays through the contracted company or is that just home improvement stores?

Re: Best Credit Card

@SouthJamaica She used to have Citi DC but switch to Flagship with has 2x points on all purchases. I guess I should have clairifed that she is looking for one with a good sign up bonus.

Re: Best Credit Card

AOD might be good for her.  3% on all purchases.  She just may have to become a member of a bicycle association.

Before jumping into a card she should see if the contractor will accept it for payment. I know a lot of contractors that don't because they are not willing to eat the fee while giving their bet bid on a project.
