Best Current Sign Up Bonuses?

Hello,

It's been quite some time since I've posted on here, had to get past the temptation of applying for new cards during the home buying process!

I'll be doing a large remodel soon.  I have a loan set up to pay for the entire ~$32k project.  I'd like to open some new lines of credit to take advantage of large sign up bonuses and help knock down some of the cost of the remodel!  Given that I've been out of the credit card game for a year or so, I'd like to turn to some of the experts here.  I'd be a very happy man if I could knock $2,000-$4,000 off the total cost of the project by opening a few credit cards.

Cards I have or have recently closed:

BoA Travel Rewards

BoA Cash Rewards

Citi Costco

Capital One Savor - Closed a few days ago

Capital One Quicksilver

Chase Ink Business Cash

Capital One Venture - Closed September 2017

Barclay Arrival - PC to Rewards Recently

Amex Everyday

Discover It

US Bank Cash+

Lowes Store Card

2x BoA Better Balance Rewards

Chase IHG

Chase Hyatt

I usually go on one ~$1,000 trip per year, maybe one or two smaller ones for work, so not opposed to a portion of that being airline miles.

I tried to sign up for the Chase Ink Business Preferred, but due to a snafu with address verification (mailing address to a PO Box that I can't verify due to most of my statements being estatements), this was not approved.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Best Current Sign Up Bonuses?

I logged to AMEX in private mode a few times and got a $300 offer after spending $1000 on the Blue Cash Preferred card.
I already wanted the card anyway, so the SUB went ahead prompted me to pull the trigger on it.
Our credit card journey started 3/2018

Hover over cards to see limits and usage. Total CL - $608,600. Cash Back and SUBs earned as of 5/31/24- $21,590.43

Re: Best Current Sign Up Bonuses?

Did you have both Amex Everyday Cards or just one? I recently added on the everyday cash for $225 cashback on $1000 spend and 18 months 0% interest.

Discover is another one with generous interest-free periods.

Re: Best Current Sign Up Bonuses?

I would focus on credit cards that have a large amount of spend in 90 days because typically (for me at least), those are harder to hit. The small ones will be available later if patient. This will generally be your flagship cards.

Thank you.  I only have the MR version of the Everyday card.  $225 is kind of a low SUB, I was hoping for things in the $500 range (even if they're business cards).  Also not tremendously interested in interest free periods.  I'm getting a 0 interest loan from family and I'd like to be able to take as little as possible/pay back as quickly as possible.

That's a good idea, I'm gunning for the Business Unlimited from Chase again for the $5000 spend and 80000 UR SUB.  I'm wondering if there are other cards like this that I should be looking at.  This is a pretty unique opportunity for me to hit the spend amounts that I otherwise wouldnt hit.

Thank you, but I'm hoping for something with a large spend/large bonus to take advantage.  My typical spend is ~$1000 per month on cards, so I'd never hit something like a $5000 spend on an ordinary quarter.

I believe that is the Chase Ink Preferred that gives you 80,000. The CIU gives you $500/$50,000 UR.

US Bank has some $4500 spend cards. AMEX has some pretty high spend cards but they usually have a high AF if they make sense to you.

The Capital One Spark is Earn 50,000 bonus miles when you spend $5,000 in the first 3 months and earn 150,000 bonus miles when you spend $50,000 in the first 6 months of your account opening. But keep in mind, C1 goes on your personal credit and is a triple pull I believe.

Wells Business Elite - New customer offer: Get a one-time $1,000 cash back bonus8 or 100,000 bonus points9 when you spend $15,000 in the first three months of account open date

Check bofA as well.
