Hi all,

I need to open a secured card. I have one unsecured with First Premier for $200 that I have never been late on in the last 6 months and want to open a second-secured to hopefully bring my credit up further. Any idea of best secured cards? I heard BofA is a good card-but also heard that they are not extending to much credit right now. Are there any others?

Try checking with your local credit union. They might have something that will work for you. Also check to see if the secured credit card company will convert to unsecured credit after you establish a good credit history with them. Good Luck

I agree. I'd find a credit union. They are now welcoming anyone to join and I think safer than banks now. I would first pull your fico score on here and take w/you. They of course will check your credit anyway, but it will look good if you feel good about the score. good luck.

BofA is a good card to go with. Annual fee is $29 and their is a minimum of $300 deposit to open the card. Which ever card you decide to go with, keep your utilization low and PIF every month. Good luck!!
