Best card to add to the inventory (smartly)

Looking to add (smartly) to the inventory - good score (760+) to support a HP, but want to make sure the pull is worth it? I'm interested in rewards, balance transfer, high limit, etc. - all very typical attributes of cards we'd all like to have.  I hear alot about Discover, but the limits I see on here aren't that impressive.  AMEX has been good to me, but don't want to go to the well too many times - looking for some diversity also?

I'm also building a new home in the last spring (April/May 2015) - so if I'm going to take a hit, I'd like to do it now and give some distance from when working on the mortgage rates.

Also - looking to optimize my current/future business preferrences;  Southwest Airlines, Hilton Hotels, Ford, etc.

Thank you all - this site has been incredibly informative, I recommend it to many of my friends/colleagues when looking to learn about credit.

Currently have Chase Slate (11k), AMEX (Costco) (20k), AMEX (Blue - Preferred) (9k), USAA (World MC) (19k), STAR (Military)(9k), Best Buy (1.2k)

Agree with NFCU, since you have the AAFES Star card I bet you are a shoe-in for NFCU.
