I am easily eligable for NFCU and would like to know the best way to Join, Get CC and cLOC with the least HP's?
I thought i might join now while in the garden but if I have a window on the HP used to join to grab a CC and navcheck (cLOC) then i will certainly wait. It also may be better to wait and get my TU score back up (curently 697 post spree).
thanks
Each will be a HP.
They have already HP'd you for starting this thread.

lmao... thanks
i joined with a savings for 5 dollars. a rep called me to go over my account and answer question, she told me they pull a HP on application that is good for anything you do with them for 30 days. i did the green card and got 11k immediatetly GOOD LUCK!

She was high. Lol. Trust and believe every app is a separate hp!
Somehow I only got 2 HPs on joining, Flagship Visa and LOC
I called yesterday and the CSR said there is a hard pull for every single app and one for the account so thats why I didnt go for it. I really feel like I have too many inquiries and want to let them fall off first.

I too was one of the lucky ones. I got a SP on TU for membership so it saved me an additional HP. However, since joining, every single app for credit with them regardless of the last pull has been a HP.
Generally, one should always expect a HP when apping for anything and consider it a "win" if you get lucky and don't. Great rule of thumb

Hi ghgirll123!
I know this goes against conventional wisdom because of everything we read on these forums but in the long run it will likely help you very much to go ahead and get in with NFCU. They are not inq sensitve as most lenders and I suspect that you will likely qualify for some of their products now. NFCU products typically grow with you fast and I doubt you will regret the decision. I am a member of several CUs and NFCU has been the easiest to work with. I say go for it. Just my 2 cents.
