they pulled TU for me here in Hawaii, I just called because it showed up as a HP, I talked with the CSR & she took down all my info & said she will give it to her supervisor to remove the inquiry, so yay!!

think i read on page 1 EQ or TU
Mustang, did you go for it?

Hmmm, perhaps you didnt recognize it because it says something like Webbank on the HP. Bill Me Later does a hard pull when you first attempt to use the card and also emails you a credit score. It states it right there when you apply. I opened mines 3mos. ago
@Anonymous wrote:@Anonymous, just got off the phone with James @ Bill ME Later,
I first asked him if using BML would report to the CRA's, answer was no, BML is between the borrower and the lender.
Second question I asked, when applying for a BML account, is it hard or soft, I was told soft, I explained to James that I'm a Member of this Forum and there are reports that some Members have been hard pulled, he told me to inform those members that BML WILL REMOVE the hard inq's from those of you who have been HP'd, he said to call 1-866-528-3733, because you should have only been softed not HP'd, so for those of you who have been HP'd for apping for a BML account, I suggest calling that number.
I have no idea if James at BML is correct, but I did ask him several times about the HP, and he assured me, that it is ALWAYS a soft, he actually advised me to report this info back to the Forum Members who have been HP'd.
There was much more that we spoke about, but I'm really not feeling like typing here for 3 hours
But after talking with James, BML sounds like a pretty cool way to make purchases and revolve the charge without affecting your credit.
If you would like to read more info on this BML.............

Good looking out. Thanks, I will call regarding my HP tomorrow.

No, not yet, I'm seriously contemplating it, there is this nice laptop at Walmart that I would like to get, I could very easily use one of my CC's to purchase it and PIF before the closing date on the card I use, but on the other hand, I PIF everything every month, and it would be kind of nice to revolve a charge just once![]()
I will let you know if I do indeed do it.
And to the rest of you who have thanked me, please let me know if BML removes your HP's, I'm curious as to how accurate James info was.
Based on one Member who replied here, they stated the BML CSR took down all their info to give to their Supervisor to have the inq removed, I'm really curious as to how fast BML will get this done (I'm sure it could take up to 30-45 days) but I know it can be done faster, AmEx did it for me and the inq was gone in less than 10 days.
Best of Luck to you all.
It would be good since I'm looking at this sweet 55" LED TV at walmart.
At least if I use BML, it would not dig into my util.
There was no HP from BML - or any bank - on or around the date I app'd for BML. Also, I've used the account several times since opening, and no HP.

Precisely CS.
I also have my eye on a 55" TV as well (need to upgrade my 42 Flat Screen to a much bigger TV)![]()
