HHAAAAAAAAAA!!!! This company is pure trash. Got a call today of the representative practically saying I'm liable for these charges when I told her I'll go to the FTC she told me, "we can strike a deal" I'll let you off the hook for these charges as long as we close this account today.
CLOSED!.
**bleep**. This is troubling.
I'll have to skip Blispay for now, based on your experience. Sorry about your situation OP, and thank you for sharing this experience.
Wait, whaaat? Why the processings are so different from OP?

I had an issue with a defective product that the MFG wanted me to pay for return shipping and fees in order to get a replacement despite it arriving broken. I disputed the charge as instructed by Blispay. They took it off my bill. About 4 weeks later I got a letter saying it would be put back on because proof of purchase was supplied by the MFG. I was like duh, I was not disputing purchase.
Well, turns out the proof was a blank order form with someone elses email dated 6 months prior to my purchase and for a different item. MFG basically submitted fradulent proof of purchase. I faxed in my analysis and the charge came off my accout permantly a few weeks later.
All in all Bilspay has been good to me.
I see way more positive posts about Blispay so I am inclined to believe that the positive side wins especially since noone hesitates to post negative information but do not routinly post positive reviews.
For a no fee card that provides 2% CB and 6month NPNI even if the OP's experience was more normal it would still be a better card than most out there.
Now I am glad Blispay denied my CC application with a 770+ scores, <1% Util, 60k total CL. Apparently they could not verify my identity. What a load of bull**bleep**

+1
I'm not going to pass judgement on the OP's actions - we all have to do what we're comfortable with - but I plan on keeping my Blispay as well. I agree (unequivocally) that the OP's contact with Blispay customer service was regrettable, and their handling of the situation (as explained by the OP) was dismal by any definition.
Instead of passing summary judgement on the entire company based on one experience by one customer, though, I am using this thread as a reminder that if something similar happens to me - with any company - to escalate the situation if they aren't willing to close the account to new purchases right away, and if that escalation fails to make detailed notes of the entire dialogue, including the exact time of day and the names of CSRs/supervisors (if available). In a perfect world this level of diligence wouldn't be required, but we don't live in a perfect world.
I think many of us have had unfortunate encounters even with well-established companies, and while it certainly leaves a bad taste in your mouth it's usually not a reason to take your business elsewhere, at least if they are willing (and able) to fully remedy the situation.
Just my 2¢.

Actually, I don't see how this story could be a positive endorsement for Blispay. They accepted the fradulent proof of purchase and reinstated the charge! They also accepted the proof of purchase even though the dispute was for something else. To me, this actually shows that they didn't handle the dispute effectively and Blispay only removed the charges when forced to.
I agree that we shouldn't draw any conclusions based only one one report or even a handful, but when you dig into the facts around them it is definitely disturbing.
I have a heirarchy in my mind for which of my cards to use for big purchases. Some of them offer price protection, extended insurance, travel or bagage insurance, trip interruption, etc. Some of the lenders are just more reliable, responsive and professional than others. I'm glad I don't have Blispay even in my SD (given how they seem to handle fradulent charges), but even if I did want to use them for 2% rewards, I'd never put any significant charges on it. No peace of mind.
Last year, I had two cards compromised when travelling home for Christmas.
One happened when I was on the plane. I got the texts (multiple) and voicemail when I landed. I had everything sorted on my walk through the airport, before even getting to luggage claim. The next day, I had a new card in my hand, at my brother's house. This was US Bank (who has had a number of negative posts here)
I also had my brand new SW card compromised. It took about as long (although I had to wait until I got home to get the new card). It just seem crazy to not have the card shut off immediately.
