Cobranded cards are a great way to celebrate you're business with the retailer. Retailers spend a fortune trying to get you to join them.
AMEX is great about allowing you to get other cards if that is what you are asking. I have the HILTON card, and the AMEX Everyday, and the Delta Gold.

Amex isn't the issuing bank for the Bloomingdale's card (or any department store card in the USA, AFAIK). Department Stores National Bank issues the card, and it simply runs on the Amex network.
I can't give much advice about department store cards as I very rarely shop at one.
I would say out of the three you mentioned, Nordstrom would be the best choice. They have just revamped their rewards program, and there are different levels of the Club. They will quite frequently a few times a year, send out emails where all your purchases during a certain time frame earn 10pts/$, so your rewards add up quickly, depending on your level of spend as well. You can read about it here.............
It really depends OP. I have all of the ones you mentioned. But, for individuals who place moderate to considerable spend at those retailers, then the specific loyalty level would stand to yield those benefits from a rewards perspective.
For instance, depending on the loyalty level (such as what @pizza1 references with regard to Nordstrom), you get different perks. You don't necessarily have to have the specific CC with the retailer, but if you want the "extras" (private shopping or cardholder events, frequent discounts galore, complimentary shipping, special financing on $X purchases, etc.), you'd have to explore which CC and loyalty program stands to provide you the best benefit depending on how much you frequent or spend at that retailer.
IME, "Top Of The List" is much easier to sustain with Bloomindgale's than it would be "Icon Status" with Nordstrom. @pizza1 is the Icon "queen" so we know she's a baller
This is the place that I purchased a lot of my suits from (David Lance New York, Inc)
Im a Saks Guy , so Saks .. There stores have the best of the best brands , they do rewards and also in house extended Loans. Not to mention depending where you live or travel they have LV,Gucci,Prada stores in saks which makes saks my #1!! Good luck with the choice
