Blue Cash Offer

I logged into my Amex account online this AM and for the first time ever there is a "Blue Cash" ad there begging for me to click on.

Amex did a AR 11/24

I don't really need another card- Just want to know everyones experience with this.

Re: Blue Cash Offer

I logged on to the amex site for the first time this weekend with my new cards and I have a giant amex blue ad on mine.  Makes me think I should have just gone for it in the first place.  oh well.

I am holding out on apping/changing anything with AMEX until I get a CLI.

Re: Blue Cash Offer

Why?  Is it easier to get a CLI with Delta, than with the Blues?

I've had a Blue Cash ad on my account overview screen since the first time I logged in (which was only about three weeks ago).

Are these ads targeted?  For a split second I thought it might be a targeted "preapproval" type ad, but then I figured there's no way I'd be specifically targeted for Blue Cash (EX is now 680-ish), so I finally assumed it's just a generic ad that everyone sees.

Still, it is the same Blue Cash ad every single time I log in.  If they were generic ads you'd think they might switch them up a bit.

Re: Blue Cash Offer

I just called and asked.  I was told that the ad on my account site is in fact a preapproved offer, and not a generic ad.

As tempting as it is, I'm going to wait a while before I click it.  I haven't even had my Skymiles long enough for the first statement to cut.  Besides, I already have 6 INQs on EX.  That's enough for a while.

Not really sure what I'd use Blue Cash for anyway.  As I've posted before, I'm currently charging all my double-miles eligible purchases on the Skymiles card so I can cash in on the free flight before having to pay the AF in the second year.  All the 5%-eligible (after $6500) purchases on the Blue Cash are also double-miles eligible purchases on the Skymiles, so Blue Cash wouldn't do me any good right now from a rewards standpoint.

Re: Blue Cash Offer

I too have had this from day one and have only had the card for a week.  I actually just made my first payment today.  I think ill wait atleast a month, get a cli and then maybe get blue cash.

Re: Blue Cash Offer

I also have been seeing that ad on my account summary page. Looks pretty tempting but I think I'll hold off for a bit.

Re: Blue Cash Offer

The Blue Cash offer was on my account page until my 1st statement posted. Now I'm getting an invite to add additional users to my card.
