No they didn't ask me anything...she just verified my identity and said "I looked at your account and I can see that we will be able to waive your AF going forward"...I said just waived or completely removed? She said removed. The next say I see a 59$ credit for the AF charge I got back in January...lol and this was just a couple of weeks ago...then 3 days later my account online showed 0.00 for the annual fee under information. I am on my phone so I don't have that email handy but just google it, it's easy to find
okay thanks! i'll go ahead and send back the email they sent me to confirm if i want to go ahead and change it to the better balance and then when i get the card i guess i'll email the EO. Did you email them before you got and activated the card or did you use it for sometime ?
i think i found it. hope its the right one. just wondering if they ask for my salary and require hard pull if i mention credit limit increase or just leave it out.
I had been a customer for such long time and never received a pre-qualified offer for credit limit increase with soft pull inquiry only. I don’t want to cancel my bank america card but a credit card with an Annual Fee no longer fits my portfolio and neither does my credit limit since i have other cards.
If you would consider removing the Annual Fee permanently i would appreciate it.
thank you

FYI, I had replied earlier in this thread about getting this card and putting Netflix on it.. And I've done just that, and pay slightly more than the min. (Usually$0.10 more). But I did not get the bonus last quarter. Not sure why, so I need to call in and ask.
Technically, I'm doing what is required to get the $30/qtr...I have a BOA checking account as well.
After looking at their FAQ, I don't even have to pay the extra $.10, just have to pay in full:
"A monthly payment received on or before the due date, which is more than the monthly payment due is considered a qualifying payment. A payment in full received on or before the due date is a qualifying payment."
Never mind...I see why I didn't get it. I had an April statement, but the payment due date wasn't until May. And according to their chart, rewards are based off payment due dates.

yeah i thought you only had to make the min. payment which is $25 for any balances over $25 and anything less than $25 you have to pay in full. I dont think you have to pay in full to get the bonus. So if i charge $8 a month i have to pay $8. If i charge $50 i only have to pay $25. The trick though is they probably give you high credit limit and high APR so you carry the balance and eventually they get their money back one way or another. I only use Cash Rewards for cash and i accumlate $50 cash back so far this year. I figured why not change it to Better Balance Rewards and get the $120 instead

crap i just emailed the EO i hope it wont make a difference getting the product changed to the Better Balance Rewards. I went ahead and sent them an email with my Cash Rewards instead asking them to remove the annual fee. Then once they do hopefully i be able to change it without the annual fee on the Better Balance Rewards.

For what did I find in the mailbox today - about 3 weeks after trying to PC my AMEX and getting a reply that the case was closed (but obviously successful) - but my Better Balance Rewards card. Better Balance Rewards - say hello to Netflix!
Couldn't really decipher what you were saying, but would you happen to know if it's possible to PC a Fidelity Amex to a BBR?

unless its issued by Bank America you could try. Usually if its a different brand it will be difficult but since Bank America Cash Rewards and Bank America Better Balance Rewards are the same brand as Bank America and Not Royal Caribbean or Virgin Atlantic brand you could easily make the switch. Fidelity Investmment Rewards American Express and Fidelity Investment Rewards Visa Signature is the same brand as Fidelity. You probably could possible PC to that but i think the rewards are the same.

Basically no. I tried to go from my old BOA platinum plus amex to a fidelity amex, and they submitted it and they acted like it had a good chance of going through. But it didn't. I called them back and they said it was not possible. So I don't think it is possible (but still worth th 5 min. to ask...can do it via online chat).
I'm glad now because I got the BBR and have a Citi TYP card that I can (hopefully) PC to a double cash later this week. So I've covered all my bases.
Now need to get my wife to PC her BOA travel rewards over to a BBR - and we will be making $260/yr for doing almost nothing!
