Re: BoA CLI'd me!

What are you, some kind of enabler?!? LOL! I'm a recovering appaholic. Me-initiated CLI requests are like... the Devil's Lubricant. That's practically one slick patch away from a new app!

No way, no how! You hear that HTSCU???? That's right. I'm still on the wagon! Not gonna do it. Besides, I've already got two 12k credit lines from NFCU. I might push the luv button, only to find out that they'd converted it into a CLD button. Apparently, one of the symptoms of App sobriety is paranoia! I dont' see "dead people", I see" adverse action"! Smiley Tongue

You're gonna have to find another guinea pig. But, if a suitable candidate comes along, and their room at the center has a better view than mine, I'll help you double-dog dare them. Smiley Very Happy

I will be a little devilish right now and say push the luv button. If it says no then ok you are still happy with your auto cli, but if it says yes, wow. I would go for 10k only as your total CL, so go for a 3k increase. Lets us know if you do it and what was the outcome.

Do you see those yellow eyes gleaming at you, from just outside the ring of light created by the campfire? I'm watching! Smiley Wink

Congrats on the auto-CLI's. It's always nice to know that a good spell of credit gardening can produce some nice free surprises like this.

fwiw, each time that I got a CLI --once by calling and talking to a credit analyst; once by hitting the luv button --the button stayed up. But I'm really big on not rocking the boat, aka, I'm chicken, and I'm perfectly happy to have it stay there gathering dust.

$10K --> $15K --> $18K in something like 6 or 7 months was just plenty, thank you.

Re: BoA CLI'd me!

Why do you guys keep mentioning the button being up? Does it ever go away? Mine never has. I hit it today on both accounts (thank you!!!!!!  jerks <-- mean that in the most loving way) and the luv button is still there. Was it supposed to go away?

Re: BoA CLI'd me!

I don't know... I didn't even have a luv button on my BoA account until November. I sort of assumed, based upon other threads about different banks (silly assumption, obviously) that it (luv button) was only there intermittently, and only if you were eligible for an increase. Or, as my paranoid mind would have it, to lure you into AA by making it appear as thought you were desperately seeking more credit. Obviously, I have some issues to work through in group therapy, LOL!

Perhaps, once they take off your training wheels, they let you keep the luv button.

Re: BoA CLI'd me!

I think you might be right, because my button seems to be there all the time.  I do think that for Chase and some others you are right, it only appears when you may be eligible.
