BoA Credit Card Offer when exiting Web-Site

Does anyone know if this will result in a hard pull or not? I've had a BoA card for around a year and have received several CLI's all without hard pulls. Their site has always been very clear that it will notify me if it's going to result in a hard pull or not and then it's my choice to proceed or not.

I just applied and was approved for a line of credit with them (I'll be needing it unfortunately), and today the new account appeared on my reports (score increase) and it appeared on their web-site when I logged in this morning to check on my credit card account.

When exiting the web-site, it said I was pre-qualified for an NFL Extra Points card with no annual fee, 0% until January 2010, etc....and it asked if I wanted to Accept? There was a box that said ACCEPT (not apply).

I've never received an offer like this on their web-site. (I wasn't checking their pre-approved offers.)

So, will this result in a hard pull or not if I choose to accept?

Again, I just applied and was approved for a line of credit with them, so do you think they're using the credit report that was just pulled to offer me the card?

Thanks!

they are probably using those scores. you could except it and than product change it to something else if you don't like that card.

Re: BoA Credit Card Offer when exiting Web-Site

I called BoA, and for the first time, wasn't pleased with their customer service. I was told that it would be a hard inquiry if I wanted the card. Was told to call another # to find out more info or if my current card could be converted,etc....

The "new" # took me to the same place. The person I spoke to was actually abrasive at the end of the call, by repeating Sir, Sir in a loud voice. I said Good Day Maam and hung up. Frustrating...
