BoA Platinum upgrade possible?

My DM has a platinum BoA card, no rewards, I have convinced her to upgrade.  She called, they told her she couldn't upgrade the platinum.  She called again to see if she could get a 0% offer and to ask again for an upgrade, nope.

I think the account is 20ish years old with a 20k-ish limit.

Is this something she should keep trying?  Is it possible?  She'd like to get to the Customized Cash card.

BoA does not support all the possible permutations of product changes, and in some cases whether or not a specific product change is allowable is account-specific.   This isn't a function of whether or not a CSR knows what they are doing or is just gaslighting you, they're able to pull up your account and confirm whether or not a specific product change is enabled.

If you want further clarity your DM can try calling again and asking the CSR an open-ended question about what options are available to product change the card.

You may also try asking again in 3 or 4 months. The answer may be different in the future. BOA will likely have different goals, priorities, etc. as time goes on. Patience is your friend.
