BoA Worldpoints Visa Signature

I got a call today to verify information regarding a BoA Worldpoints Visa Signature card I applied for over the weekend.  They indicated that I had the card with a credit limit of $3000.  I asked the analyst to make sure it was the visa signature version of the card - I was under the impression that the card was a "no-preset limit" type of card.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on?

I guess if it does have a credit limit then its good cuz it will be reported...

Re: BoA Worldpoints Visa Signature

I understand that if my application is approved for an account with a credit line less than $5,000, I will receive a Platinum Plus® account. I understand that if this application is approved for an account with a credit line of less than $2,000, I will receive a Preferred account. The benefits for Platinum Plus® accounts and Preferred accounts are different from each other and from Visa Signature accounts.

Anything over 5k is no pre set. Re read terms of agreement

Re: BoA Worldpoints Visa Signature

Gotcha.  I checked it online and it said CL of $5000; BoA Visa Signature with Worldpoints.  I guess I'll find out in about 7-10 days when it comes huh.

Re: BoA Worldpoints Visa Signature

I don't know if you're saying you got 5k or not. If you did, the SIG does not report Limit, just high balance. It doesn't factor into scoring. However, I closed my SIG and moved some of the CL to Merrill Lynch and the rest to the World MC, because it didn't report the limit report, and I wanted a card that reported the limit regardless of the scoring factor

The problem is people are afraid of the World MC, because they think it doesn't report. That's so not true. It is a World MC that has a "NO PRE SET SPENDING LIMIT ATTACHED TO IT" it reports to all 3 unlike the SIG.

Re: BoA Worldpoints Visa Signature

I have a World MC with Citi and it, like my B of A Signature, does not report a limit. Smiley Happy

YMMV apparently!

Re: BoA Worldpoints Visa Signature

Yeah, the website definitely specified that I had a CL of $5000.  I'll check my report after it shows up and let you guys know what the deal is.

Re: BoA Worldpoints Visa Signature

Alrighty - it's all set up! I got my card today:

The BoA Visa Signature Worldpoints, no pre-set limit except they indicated in the letter that there's a limit of $5000..?

I'm having problems logging into the worldpoints reward center though, does anyone know how I register my card for it, or whether it is pre-registered??

My BofA Visa Signature was the same way... it had a reported limit to me online, but it didn't report on my credit reports.  I did have  a high balance on it of 5200 so I was not really concerned.  If you want a "CL" to appear... just charge it up and pay it off and it will report the highest amount ever on the card.

I don't remember if my was worldpoints, but it did have a reward program that I didn't have to set-up, it automatically did it for me and I just would redeem the rewards through BofA's website.

I have since converted the card to a BofA Accelerated Rewards AMEX so I am sorry I cannot be of further assistance...
