I think generally speaking that is great advice, especially while the TR is at $200 and the CR has $175. OP already has both of these and I would guess it could be approved....but better off to do BBR solo....or if desperate combine with cobranded card. I would make this the exception that using 1 hp is just fine for 1 card especially one that easily pays out $120 year after year...but geez who knows how much longer that will continue? I have heard that BBR's are not going to be available next year, but do u think BOA would alienate its members and nerf the rewards on the existing cards? I wouldn't hate them if they did but I would think less of them.
well for a second there i thought of apping for BBR + TR + CR (then combine CLs then close!) but then that would bring my AAoA down MORE, right? and i don't really want that. my profile age can't really afford that. :/

TBH, 3 BOA apps in a row (even within 30 days) won't fly with that short AAoA. Just focus on what's priority (i.e. BBR) and build from there.

no no no no no lol. I would not advocate you do that...unless u had AAOA in years not months. How old are your current BOA cards? I see them approving you a HUGE CLI based on your amex ED limit. Well worth the HP. I would wait until July, app for 1 BBR, then use the 2nd HP to request CLI's on CR and TR. Maybe someone else might suggest you do the HP cli first, but you have enough limits with them to leverage an approval in the future.
It would all depend on your level of spend as well. If its not that high then the BBR is a no brainer. Your lineup right now is great, no nonsense, and the addition of a BBR in the future would seem fine to me.

hahaha! i know. real newb here! thanks for guiding me back to the right path. for a second there my credit mind got murky. greedy i might add.
but thanks for the compliment about my lineup. =) just need citi DC too!
btw my BoA cards are 1 yr & 1 yr and 2 mos. old.
.. now how to approach that impending CLIs and app?!? hmm i don't really need a high CL on it as i only plan to use it for netflix and get that $120/yearly (hoping it doesn't get phased out!). i guess it doesn't really matter not unless someone can chime on it.

I did not intend to put you on any path lol dont listen to me, I have done some odd things lately but you know how that goes. I would say based on your lack of inquiries.... have you had any recent CLIs with the TR or CR? If they arent of a significant amount, I would totally do the CLI on those right now. Ask for 20k total limit on each card, and if the computer comes back with something much less than that then you can call in to an analyst and request it to be re-evaluated and they will use the same HP for 30 days. (others may chime in and say ask for more or less so I settled in between).
Better to do them closer together so the same credit pull is used.
Ultimately do what works best for you. If adding another 20k would work wonders for your utilization. If what you have now works great, that HP could be worth more in the long run. I would assume one of the cards is also post intro APR, and you could also ask for an APR reduction during all of this too.
Unless of course you were above 35-40% util , then right now may not be the best time. IDK, the rep did agree with me when I was saying I wanted my limits to be more closely matched so I was not ever forced to pick one card over another. Your amex limit will come in handy for getting others to fall in line. At least it did with me.

well im really trying to keep on top of my credit (now! my card lineup was done before i got here. so i only went with my guts and yeah the cashbacks and rewards! but i guess it worked out! lol!). and this community is really fun, productive and very helpful. so thanks to all!
anyway, no recent CLIs on TR & CR. none ever. i'll probably do CLIs after my CL reallocation with chase finished posting in the next 2 weeks. *can't hurt, right? *i keep forgetting that i only have 1 inquiry for each of my other CR not named EX. good problem to have i guess. =p
my utilization is always under <10% for each and all accross cards (4% right now). although the 0% apr cards (3 of them) i carry a balance but pay more than enough to keep it <10% uti.
thanks again! i appreciate all the help! i'll note all those advice and will update here when i do the deed/s! =)
