I'm amazed!

I recently upgraded my BoA CC since it was my oldest active account. I switched it from WorldPoints over to the Cash Rewards 123 card. At the time of the upgrade I had accumulated well over 15k Worldpoints on the card, and I informed the CSR that I wanted the points converted. The CSR told me I'd more than likely end up with a statement credit for around $120 (which is about how much 15k Worldpoints would exchange for), however I log in to my BoA account today after my card information finally updated to the Cash Rewards program and they gave me all of my Worldpoints as Cash Rewards. So instead of $120 worth of rewards, I'm sitting on $161 (I guess I went a tad over 15k ).

This is awesome!

And according to the rules of the new program, I should be getting a bonus of 10% for cashing those rewards into my recently opened BoA savings account.

Makes me want to app for the Better Balance card and keep getting free money!

Worldpoints aren't going away, although I received a letter stating that the name of the program would be changing.

The problem with Worldpoints is that under normal circumstances you need over 20k points to convert them on a one point per one cent basis. Also, my card was previously very limited in earning more than one point per dollar spent, whereas now I can easily earn 5x, 3x, or 2x the cashback depending on the card I use and what I'm buying.

The Cash Rewards 123 card has a different reward structure, so I was posting this so if anyone else wanted to convert, they would know what to expect.
