Yes, they do it (in my experience)

If you ask for a large amount, will they counter offer or just outright deny?  It is hitting the 7th statement and I have run through on average 2x's the current cl.  It is currently only 1k and I am looking for 5K.

Plasticguy,

I have never asked for a CLI from BOA.  Just for clarification, are you leaving all fields blank (such as income, house pymt, etc.) or just the amount requested for CLI?  Everything financial wise for me, is the same as it was when I opened the account over a year ago.  Upon my 12 statement, I did not get an increase at all. I always PIF and have never been late. So, I was thinking of asking for one, online.

Thanks.

Re: BofA CLI using luv button

I would recommend calling in to speak with a credit analyst instead of requesting on-line. The on-line request generally yields a 20% max CLI. If you call and speak to an analyst, you have a much better chance at a higher CLI. The last two times a requested a CLI with BOA (Sept08 and Nov08), I received a $2500 CLI and then a $4000 CLI. They do pull a soft, usually on Experian when you speak to an analyst. Well worth it I think.
