BofA CLI

Ok, so I received my BoA Platinum Plus Visa today. My initial credit limit is $1,500. I have a couple of sub prime cards I'm looking to close and I don't want to close them until I have more available credit. What are the odds I can get a CLI of maybe $1,500 or so before I activate the card? Anyone have any helpful tips as far as getting them to give me the increase I'm looking for? Thanks

Re: BofA CLI

They doubled me from $1500 to $3000, with a very low individual income.

They denied me, something to the effect of not establishing enough history with them...Smiley Sad

Re: BofA CLI

I got approved for a BoA US Airways card in 2004 when i was still in college (very low income) with a $1000 CL. A few months of paying on time, they increased it to $4000... a few months later they raised it AGAIN to $6000. Finally they raised it up to $7000 and it's been there for quite some time (probably 2.5 - 3 years)

Re: BofA CLI

Back in December they denied me an increase at activation. They started me @ $3,500 which didn't please me, but they said that was all they could approve me for at the time. Fast forward 8 or 9 months, and now my limit is $19,000. They've been very, very good to me...
Rust never sleeps and neither does my fico score...

Re: BofA CLI

While I truly am happy for all of you (really) - all of these BofA CLI rub salt in my wounds. 2 1/2 years of perfect payment history and WITH my crap CLI I am sitting at $3,000 limit. This is with HHI just over $100k, too. Always PIF, most months charge quite a bit, so they get their transactions fees worth...only time my usage was stagnant was while waiting for my product change. So sad. BofA hates me.
