B of A closed my credit card as an adverse action in 2001, so I resist every temptation to apply for any of their cards. And, yes, they send me offers.
I actually received one yesterday and decided to go ahead and bite the bullet. I'm in the rebuilding process and was seeking a prime card. My preselected offer came with a personal secure code and an offer of 21.99% APR. I made sure to read thoroughly and it stated it was a firm offer of credit based off information on my report as of 12/10/18 and could vary if the previous information differed. This made me decide to app for it. I was instantly approved for the BankAmericard for $3500 SL. May not be prime card to some, but it's the best I have so far. I'm pretty excited about it ![]()
Discover IT $500 SL - 09/18
Capital One $300 SL - 10/18
Victoria Secret $500 SL - 12/18
I just received one in the mail yesterday for about the same set APR. Seems I've been getting more of these since cancelling my checking account with them. If they send me an Alaska Airlines offer, I may jump on that.
I stopped recieving mail offers a while back, now theres just a permenant offer on my checking account page. I honestly don't remember how long I've been with them ATM, somewhere around 15-20 years though. But I just can't see myself with a CC from them. Back when I wanted a card with them I felt my score wasn't there yet, and now that particular CC is no longer offered. I'd rather bank my reward with either Amex or Chase, instead of getting spread too thin with other cards.

1.5 Decade ago, just 1.5 and still full of it. They bought out a bank(it is still there but the latest word in town they will level it soon) in the neighborhood that had a green logo on it. Same people at that bank at that time started lying to us about the fees, straight in a face. Moved my personal and biz accounts over to elsewhere.
