BofA secured/partially secured data points

In the next year I'd like to get my foot in the door with BofA, especially with their secured or partially secured card ($99/500). I just recently opened up a checking/savings with them in hopes to build a relationship and possibly get some better offers down the road. I was wondering what the data points were for those of you who have been approved of either of those? I'm currently in the high 500's, hoping to break 600 by next month since I've been able to get some CAs removed from my report, but wanting to know at around what time I should feel confident in applying!

Thank you!

I was in the mid to low 600s when i applied for their fully secured one last chrismas. I have a checking, savings and some retirment accounts with them and they approved me for $300. About 8 months later it unsecured and sits at a 2500 CL.

Re: BofA secured/partially secured data points

@Anonymous From what I have seen, you cannot apply for the partially secured card. It has to be counter-offered if you apply for another product and are declined.

Also, it isn't always counter-offered so don't expect to see it if you apply for something else. Another Myficoer went through this recently.

BOA has a prequalify tool, but it doesn't seem to be reliable.

The secured card is a good route because it can graduate early.

Good luck! Discover also has a great secured card.

Oh my, that's impressive! I've heard a lot about them being generous with CLIs. I transferred my checking and savings accounts to them, so I'm hoping that'll increase my chances once my scores get into the 600 range!
