Boo on CL!

I just activated my HSBC with a $500 CL. Tried to get a CLI upon activation with no luck, but they waived AF.

You're nuts. My card started with a CL of $1,000. I called to have my limit increased a few nights ago, and do you know what they gave me? A stinking $300, thats what! Consider yourself lucky, pal.

I can understand you grief, if this was a hard inquiry. Since it stays on your report for 2 years and counts against you for a year. You'll think at least 5K. I closed this card right after receiving it. I read so many negative things about HSBC cards, I just didn't want the headaches. No regrets so far.
