Hi @Anonymous, and welcome to myFICO!  

To be able to quote you'll have to request the 'desktop version' of the site on your phone.

I don't know if it's different on cell phones, but when you press "Reply" to write a new post, there's also a "Quote" button above the textbox where you write your answer. If you press that button, then the post that you're replying to will show up as a quote.

To answer your real question, it's great you're taking steps toward managing credit. The Discover Secured Card is a great one to have. As for Visa, it's really tough to find a no-AF secured card outside of CUs. How important is it to you that the card be secured? After a few months of your C1 and Discover secured cards, you should be in good shape to apply for an unsecured no-AF Visa - there are plenty of those!

mkhan1093, thank you for the help! I completely missed the Quote button at all. I zero-in and focus on whatever I am looking at so I didn't see it at all since it wasn't in my field of vision!

As far as your question, I guess having the card be Secured isn't that important, I just figured that would be a good starting point and a way to prove that I am a responsible Credit Card user. I will definitely apply for a Visa in the future since it is more universally accepted. I've heard that a few Secured Visa Credit Cards rarely graduate to Unsecured, and that doesn't seem very ideal, so applying for an Unsecured Visa and bypassing a Secured version is what I will most likely end up doing.

Yeah, I love me some Costco, but a single credit choice is a pita. Costco will take any DEBIT card, btw, if you didn't know that. I use my debit MasterCard there if I don't use a credit card. I don't think they have an expiration date for the cash cards. You can always call them and ask. As for quoting, I'm also on my mobile. Your browser of choice should have a "request desktop site" option somewhere. Click that, then more options will show up for use. Heads up, the font will be smaller.

I suppose Costco accepting Debit is better than nothing, but now that I have my Capital One Secured Mastercard I want to avoid using my Debit Card. I may be paranoid but I don't want to risk my bank account by using my Debit Card and it getting skimmed. As long as Mastercard and Discover is accepted at the places I go to, those will be the main forms of payment I will use unless I need to use cash. Maybe that's a false sense of security, but it feels more safer to use the Credit Cards and then just deal with their Fraud Department is something were to happen.

I will definitely going the Costco Cash Card route for the time being! Thank you for that tip!
