So after looking up things that were hurting my credit score, it was said one of the things I needed to improve on was my number of accounts I have had. My credit lines are all still fairly new, since Feb of this year, so my AAoA is very low as well. So I decided with my DH that I should put in for a few cards now (since my AAoA isnt going to be hurt really), take the inqs so that they generally will fade away at the same time with the ones Ive built up already this year, and not apply for anymore credit this year. This is what has happened so far:
Current Fico scores: TU: 660 EQ: 582
Capital One Standard Platinum Mastercard: Approved $300CL
Old Navy: 7-10 Days
Target Red Card: 7-10 Days
B&N Mastercard : 30 Days
I was informed today that I was approved for Old Navy for a $200CL. GEMB loves me for some reason, this is my fourth card with them.
Have you tried any of the WFNNB prescreens? The nice thing about those is they don't hit your credit. It's a soft inquiry, as long as you're using the prescreen and not straight out applying.
If you're unfamililar with this, go to any of the WFNNB stores and create an account. Make sure you enter your billing information by updating it in your profile (some don't ask for that information upfront). Make sure you've got your name, address, and phone number in there, as it appears on your credit report (specifically EX). Then add an item to your cart. Proceed through check-out as if you were going to purchase the item. On the last screen (after the shipping screen), you'll be presented with the payment method screen. If you're pre-approved, you will see a message stating you're preapproved and what the CL is. I did this with my wife the other night. It was pretty fun. The beauty is, of course, that even if you accept the offer, it should not hit you with a hard inquiry.
Here's an older list of WFNNB stores. Some are not WFNNB anymore, but most are. I'm sure there's some additions as well, but this should be good. Victoria's Secret is one of the easiest ones. AmericanTV is pretty generous with initial CL and CLI's.

This WFNNB web page shows the credit card agreements for all of their credit cards. It would be a current list.

WFNNB has a rewards mastercard also.
Good link. I had looked through their website but didn't see that.
Interesting, thanks for the information! The few stores that sell mens things didn't offer me anything, but its an interesting concept.
