I burned Capital one a few years ago, where anytime I do their pre approval instant denial. Should I be worried about my discover credit card transferring to Capital one?
If it's your only card then maybe but otherwise, no sense in stressing. They'll either move it over or cancel it and there's nothing you can do about it.
Technically with your Discover card you are already a Capital One customer. The real question is if Capital One knows about it or not yet. I still do not understand what the status of the merger is and I have an account with each. Having to manage two accounts on two separate apps with no consolidation by a lender is messing up what my idea of a merger is.
I really wouldn't worry about it too much because Captial One is super forgiving. They're like an ex that takes you back no matter how much of a POS you were to them.
I burned them in 2019 and I have three (soon to be two) cards with them. I didn't pay anything back to them.
I also burned Chase, and will be applying for the Apple card tomorrow. I *did* pay Chase back, knowing they have a really long internal memory.
