Business Amex app question

Hello,

I have a personal Amex Gold card and also the blue cash credit card and I'm Amex customer since 2012

Recently I have been receiving an offer in the mail to apply also for my business for a gold card

My business never had a credit card before so I don't have no business credit build up

My personal credit is somewhere around 730-730 (depends on which CRA)

I wanted to know if an application for a business card affect your personal credit ?

Will the hard inquiry show up in my personal credit reports or will they only check my credit but everything will be under business credit ?

I want to apply for it but not if it will have anything to do with my personal credit ?

I'm trying to understand all this business credit how it works

There will be a HP on your personal credit report but the AMEX Business card will not show in your personal credit report unless you go to collections etc. I have the Gold Biz as well as the sane personal cards as you. Credit score was around same when I got my biz card so you should be good.
Amex gold biz changed how their rewards work about a year ago. Now you pick a category to get 3x pts on and everything else is 1x I believe. I use their card for fuel and have a Cap 1 Sparks Biz card for everything else and get 2x miles.
If you do look at the Sparks card though, they WILL report to your personal report. I pay mine off weekly for that reason to keep the utilization down

Oh yeah, the Amex Biz card was my first business card, and credit in general for that matter that I ever had so they didn't count that against me

Unless you have a well established large company it is likely you would need to PG a business card so there will be an inq on your credit report. This particular card account will not show on your credit report unless you fail to make the required payments (other business cards will show depending on lender/product). I'm not sure if it would report only on going into collections. Maybe it would also report if you go more than 30 days late? In any event there is a business card forumn that you may want to post in to get even more answers about business cards.
