BuyPower Card

I opened this card 2/2016 for $300 and it was in steps; increased to $500 in 8/2016.

I've requested 2 CLIs since then but denied both times (both were SP). I just clicked the link and it said "we are not accepting credit limit increase requests at this time."

Strange!!

Capital One Savor: $6,000; PenFed Power Cash Rewards: $3,500; Nordstrom Visa: $3,300; PenFed Gold: $2,500; Capital One: $2,500; Mission Lane: $2,500; Credit One: $2,000;
Store Cards: Kohls $2,500; Home Depot: $1,000; Target: $900; LOFT: $700; Amazon: $350

Re: BuyPower Card

That's ridiculous. It's a rewards card and you have 700 scores and can't get over $500 on it. I'd toss it as it doesn't sound like they will raise it. Are you trying to use it to get some points on it to make a GM purchase or?

Re: BuyPower Card

When they switched over to Cap one it hasn't been the same IMO. We don't have nearly the customers with GM points using them that we did several years ago.

Starting Score: EQ497/TU496/EX 499
Currently: EQ 620 TU 654 EX 627

Re: BuyPower Card

I do have some rewards dollars but don't have any special affinity towards GM.

The only reason I don't cancel it now is that both kids are AUs on it and it has helped my oldest develop credit. She has her own Cap One card and as soon as the youngest gets his first card in his own name I'll be canceling it.

So annoying.

At least you'll be able to dump it then! CapOne is off their rockers!

Re: BuyPower Card

That card will be closed for me as well once I pay it off. My 0% APR promo is coming to a close in August. I started with $300, credit steps to $500 a few months ago, it hasn't done anything else since and they're not wanting to do anything.

I don't drive GM cars for that matter, let alone any American car.  My 2017 Mazda is better. I wish they offered a card!!!!
