Re: C'mon Target...

I applied last night for the Target Red Card, got $1,000.00 credit limit. Instant approval online. I too, do not have a need for more than $1K a month for Groceries, or other personal hygiene products. So the limit more than fits me, plus all of the other benefits, free shipping etc.

Re: C'mon Target...

I had a $300 limit for 6 months, Then it was raised to $700.. 2 months later it was raised to $1,200 (2 days ago), Not sure what I did, But they've been doing Auto CLI in fair amounts of time for me I would assume.

Re: C'mon Target...

I just got a CLI from $500.00 to $700.00 this week. This account was opened in June of this year. I typically charge between 20 and 30% during the statement cycle and make sure the balance is under 9% when statement cuts.

I did burn them for about $6000 on my Target Visa during my bankruptcy.

I wasn't looking for an CLI but am glad they gave it to me. Now if they would upgrade the cards to Target Visas, that would be awesome!!!

Re: C'mon Target...

I want to buy a new TV, but I only have a $1000 CL on this RedCard, so I have to wait until my latest payment posts to completely clear the card, because with the 5% off and the price cut at the store it's going to come really close to $1000.  That's just sad that they are making it so difficult for me, when I have had this card for over 5 years now.

Re: C'mon Target...

Have you thought of charging the bulk of the TV on your Target credit card and the rest on a Target debit card? That way you will get the 5% discount.

Re: C'mon Target...

I ended up clearing my Redcard and then using a gift card someone gave me to get the price even lower.  Between the on sale discount, the gift card, and the 5% discount, I ended up being able to get a high-quality 55 inch Smart TV for under $900.  I was able to fit it under my CL.  What a deal.

I purchased a 55" Sony Smart Tv for $750!  Bought at the Coast Guard Exchange when they were running a sale.  Best Buy's price was (on sale) 1200!  This is a great place to purchase items.  You also receive 20% off sears appliances....and NO SALES TAX.
