So because i have been so frustrated of not being able to get my eligible cards to combine, i emailed the CEO of cap one. I know alot of you will say blah blah blah, not necessary, but you know what-it is. I see everyone being able to do it, i have 4 cards, and i should be able to do it. Anyways, after i sent the email, I got a call back 3 hours later. A very nice lady who said " I apologize", i will take care of this for you. I will call you back in 2-3 days and worst case scenario, I will just raise your limit on the one card and close the other you want closed.
So, while i dont encourage the use of the EO. In this case, for me, it worked. And i only emailed. Although she did give me the new number for the EO, which i will not share obviously.

Good for you! At least she was able to assist. I combined two cards easily but I can see the frustration. ![]()

yes. she was very nice. immediatley recognized the whole account combining process, and sounded pretty confident she would do it
Right but you more than likely would have gotten the same result with patience as they streamline bugs in the feature.
Nevertheless, glad it worked out.

Not really. Credit is a marathon, not a race.
So now that you're done teasing all of us just what is this brand new EO number? ![]()

Patience is not really overrated with credit. It yields better results. Had you been patient, instead of emailing the CEO of a company over a technical error, you likely would have had your issue fixed.
It's really not that big of a deal but it's the kind of EO misuse that apparently will continue even with the email. I guess people want to get the email shut off as well.
