You are right!  You maybe onto something.  I just recently applied for my second Cap after receiving an increase to this card in Nov of last year.  I use it and always pay more than the minimum with my payments.
 
Hopefully, I will see a NICE shiny card in the mail soon.....

This is a great way to force a product change at Capone-
 
My old card was at max CL- $1K, it is now at 5K

I agree. Not only do you get the advantage of a higher cl on the primary card, but also the benefits of the secondary card still being reported with a $0 balance, and on time payments.....and the age.
