Yep... I've never clicked that button before, and the above response is the same one I just received. Never even saw this button before. Great i can see myself clicking it now once a day lol. OCD
Ah, the "monkey" button. I hadn't seen or heard of the thing until the other day due to a post mentioning it, WITH a graphic with a monkey by the button. I just wanted to see the monkey, I didn't even get that
So in two years, that makes my one adventure of clicking that button. Being I know better (face it, we ALLLL know better LOL) I've almost forgot about it. And yes, I got the same screen message.
At this point I don't think it's safe to click that button while alone. Have someone in the room with you if you plan to click it, it could do something different and cause a cardiac event from the shock. Ok, at least for the luv of gawd have 911 punched in on your phone with it in your hand with your thumb near the send button if you click, just in case. I can already "hear" the 1 time it does something "CONGRATULATIONS! YOu......" <THUD>
The ONE thing you can love about Cap 1, is it's fairly predictable. LOL

I have clicked the button with similar results. I have a Visa Platinum open since 2006, with a 3k limit. I did the online chat with an account specialist yesterday, inquiring about converting this card to the Green cash ( or any other reward card). No go, she said all of their accts are not able to be converted, but that I may be eligible for an upgrade/ conversion at a later date. Then she says I am welcome to apply for a new product. No thanks, I already have a 750 limit No Hassle Rewards card ( that my online account now lists as a Platinum MC, now that they no longer offer the No Hassle Reward card). I got this card the last time I tried to convert/upgrade my account, and fell for the "your are welcome to apply for another product" crap. I also asked about combining these two cards into one, and she said they are not able to do this either. Bottom line, I am closing the 750 limit MC in April, before the AF hits.
Exact same thing happened to me last year, when I called asking if I could add rewards to my card or PC to a card with rewards.... "At this time your account isn't eligible, but may be in the future, and I could apply for a card with rewards." Yeah, right. 3 HP for another toy limit card going nowhere. No thanks.
That was before I knew they were feeding me a line, so I have tried clicking that stupid purple button a gazillion times. Like I said, stupid button!
Maybe they have meetings where they can see how many times customers click the button and have a laugh!
LOL I've hit the modify my features button a hundred times only to read that I'm not eligable at this time. I'll never be eligable. In November I'll be closing my Cash back card when it reaches one year. My other cap1 card I'm keeping because it's my oldest card (a whopping 12 months old).
I've had my CrapOne Platinum MC since 2008 and I'm stuck at $1800. That stupid button is mocking me, I swear. I'm just going to hold onto this card until after I get a mortgage next year and then I will gleefully call them to close it. When they ask why I'm closing the account, I will say that it's because they refuse to PC me to a card that's more suitable and it'll be the truth. They have such a stupid way of doing business.

this looks familiar.. oh yeah, i've seen this same message everytime i hit the monkey button for a year and a half now.

But yet, we can't stop ourselves from hitting the button, LOL!
We must be eternal optimists!

Just bumping for those who may be motivated to find the thread where several of us posted an 'upgrade' result shortly after the button appearesd on our accts. In any case, it seems they just kept it there for decorative purposes ever since.
