Just bumping for those who may be motivated to find the thread where several of us posted an 'upgrade' result shortly after the button appearesd on our accts. In any case, it seems they just kept it there for decorative purposes ever since.

And for Alec and Jimmy to get toasty and laugh it up at us!! He's still making it rain with all of the interest he gets from the rebuilders

would like to see a photo shot of a successful modify after pressing the button. i just got my very first capone card today in the mail. approved on may 2nd 2012. 2k no AF sky high purchase interest rate 24.9

up until now, i never knew what this modify button looked like or how you could find it on the website even.

I just recently got my card, so I haven't been on their site enough to even notice the "button."  After reading this I just had to go see it.  I knew nothing would happen, but it's like it puts you in a trance.  I swear you can almost hear it saying, "Go on...click the button...you know you want to."  Next thing I know I am clicking the button.  Of course nothing happens, but now thanks to all of you I am sure I will be clicking the button at least once a month now.  Thaaaaanks!

same... never any offers from this evil button... On the flip side I called Capital One last week and was able to upgrade my "Visa Plat" from 2007 (one of my first credit cards) started at 500 limit, auto cli'ed to 5200 Upgraded to the new "excellent" credit cash rewards card basically the one with no AF.... additionally they upgraded my card to a visa signature If my account was so "eligible" why didn't they make this button show the offer

Well, it us good to read that your card was upgraded. I have asked several times about an upgrade of my cash rewards mc, which has been stuck at $3350 since 12/10. It took until last fall before anyone at cap 1 would even admit that this card is capped and is not eligible at all for any more clis. Now, I get told that if I want any movement on this account, I have to apply for a new one. I am not willing to risk the HP for Cap 1, just to be offered another rebuilding credit card and risk hurting my 5 month olkd Barclays account in the process. I like cap 1, but right I cannot justify using it over Barclays or Discover, so I don't. Can you share what cap 1 number you called? I have called the backdoor number at least 5 times this year alone.

Unsure of what number it was, I first used the online chat and they were able to see I was eligible and they gave me a number to call because I needed to speak with someone live to complete the conversion... whatever number it was was a business hours only number because I remember them being closed early and wasn't open on the weekend and I had to call the following monday

I tried this evil button but not surprised to find out that I was not eligible for promotional offers, upgrades, or Rewards change.. I'm loving my $1100 CL since 2008

$750 CL with perfect history on it since Oct '07, specialist sounded sorry that she couldnt do anything. They offered me their new 500 Cash card and i said no. I hate this bank
