CC Options with higher limits...

Could someone with my credit score be getting some better cards, either a better Capone card, or another company that would give me a higher limit?

I have been reading how Capone has certain cards that never will go above the $500-750 limit no matter what and that you are better off cancelling them and getting a better one.

How old is your Barclays?

Perhaps apply to a CU for a card?

I agree with a CU card, mine gave me a 9k limit with the closest CL to that at 2.2k.

Ooh, $500! I have been stuck at $300 for 5 years Smiley Very Happy I have never asked but I can say they certainly don't do it on their own (and my score went up to 800 even).

@Mailak Time to axe that Cap1, does it have a AF?

Oh yes - the highest I have ever heard on this forum. $59. Don't know why I have the highest. It will renew in December. I will axe it if I can't PC to something else. But it's my only active CC that's more than 2 months old, so that gives me pause.

It's a "Platinum." I believe right now they charge like $19 or 29 for it? Again, I have no idea how/why I got stuck with a fee that big. Bad timing perhaps.

Sorry for the thread-jacking :-)

Re: CC Options with higher limits...

They've got a 19 and a 39 for their platinums I think. Either way, it's too much considering it has no rewards or anything attached too it.

Re: CC Options with higher limits...

My Barclay card is only 5 months old. I deal with a fairly small locally owned bank and they keep wanting me to sign up with their rewards Visa. Do you think they would be a good option for a higher CL? Not looking for anything outragous. Maybe $1500-2000.

I think I read somewhere that after getting a Barclay card to wait 6 months before applying for other CC. Not sure.
