Hey KeithW!!! I am sorry to say that my advice would be to garden and really work on that credit score. 
. You are still in the rebuilding phase and until you get into the middle 600s, getting a higher limit will be challenging. A CU might be an option but you'd have to really explain the issues holding your score back. Be patient- garden your cards and let time get you what you want. Do you have access to NFCU? If so- work on getting your score to at least 620 first. . They might be able to help you with the limit you seek also.

Starting Score: 642
No we don't have any NFCU within 100 miles it appears.
My only late payments were back in 2009 so hopefully those should become less important. I get anxious sometimes.
On another note is Barclay pretty good about upping your credit limit when your score improves?
Absolutely!!! Barclays moved me up with a HP after managing the account only 4 months. They don't like to see apps for other accounts within 6 months of opening with them but they are typically good with CLIs. I think they are your best bet for a higher limit if you've been paying more then the minimums and have a low utility with all your accounts. I'd try them before anyone. . Wait until after the 6 month mark then burn a HP for the increase with them.
