Anyone know what merchant category code that AARP Rewards (AARP Perks) is coded as?
Trying to decide the best card to use for bonus earning... or if it codes as a gift card purchase, etc...
From what I saw. Its a rewards program with a browser add on (desktop only) and you earn points and then can get goodies with those points. Its not a credit thing. The AARP credit card is seviced by Barclays. Its not credit related.

Not sure about the browser add on, but on the AARP site, you can purchase gift cards and services at a discount (AARP Rewards does also do a points thing, but I am uninterested in that)..... So in order to maximize / stack rewards, I'm wanting to purchase with the best card for the category.
(thank you for responding)
I am curious about the same. Did you find the MCC for AARP Rewards? I suppose one way to test it is to put through a transaction to see if it qualified for the credit card reward category you were seeking?
if you use the lookup tool in awardwallet app it looks like it codes as entertainment, but I wouldn't risk using a card that rewards entertainment, only becuz my gym membership codes as entertainment but I used my safety valve bofa premium and it gets 2.62% for regular and 3.5% for travel well it didn't code as a travel category even with what bofa views
