CCC Pre-Approval sites

I went to Barclay's preapproval site and received the congratulations screen for several cards. I want the Arrival AF card but the regular card is what appears. I will wait about a month to apply anyway but for pre-approval purposes is it a wash on which one you qualify for or pretty accurate.

I have pretty much always seen approvals come from those offers.

Are they "Congratulations You Are Pre-Approved" or are they "Recommendations?"

I tied it and I got:

I get capital one and Citi mail all the time. I just tried both of them and it said I wasn't pre qualified for anything and gave me some other options

Same thing I got.

Those aren't pre-approvals or even a "you're qualified." Those are offers based on the search criteria you entered in the previous screen.

Well up to this day I'm never pre-qualifed for anything according to those pre-qual sites.  As a matter of fact,  they won't even offer the "based on your info, we recommend the following...".  Yet, I was approved for all the cards that I have.  So what gives?  Those pre-qual sites don't mean too much in my opinion.
