Yeah but they manage it. Like say you have an issue with your Kohl's charge wouldn't you contact Kohl's not CapOne?

And what do I do then since Synchrony just refers me back to Walmart.

Who manages it? WM?

The ONLY one that manages the card is the issuing bank - Sync in this case.

NFCU $60.4k/PenFed $22.5k/Commerce $15K/53 $11K/Synovus $14K/BBT $11K/CapOne $12K/DCU $7.5K/BMO $7.5K/Chase $14.5k/Cabelas $10K/ and many many more!
Total CL $398600, plus car and RV loan.
Ooh. Ooh. Getting closer to that $500K mark!

No, certified mail is what like $4 then I wait possibly months for a response that says Walmart will fix the issue and send out the gift card that they've promised you 13 times already.

I've called Walmart's CS for credit I've called Synchrony who referred me to Walmart. And now filed a formal federal complaint which I'm assuming/hoping will get a response.

And as a side note I would go into Walmart but they aren't the brightest CSR. They don't know how to do basic things, even a lot of the managers I'm surprised they made it into a managerial position. The main reason I got the card was for a Cyber Monday deal along with their posted promotions for signing up.

Re: CFPB Complaint on a store card who to file against?

So apparently in the CFPB database when you select "Walmart Store Card" it will route the complaint to Synchrony.

A few days ago I got a call from Synchrony, they explained that they have nothing to do with any sign up bonuses that Walmart may offer. The person I spoke with was with their EO she was nice and did see 6 requests to have the sign up bonus $75 E-Gift Card sent to me, but it was never sent.

I advised her that filing with CFPB was a last resort, I gave it nearly 5 months of waiting and calling Walmart customer service dealing with them prior to filing a formal complaint.

She said she cannot issue an E-Gift Card but would look into it verify the offer, my initial purchase and if it check out she said she would give me a statement credit for $75.

Checked today and there it is a $75 statement credit now my balance is -$66.91 and she said as soon as the statement cuts I can request a refund check for the balance that's below $0.

Walmart's Customer Service was poor, but I appreciate the handling of it on Synchrony's end.
