CHASE- from AA and CLD to CLI !!!

Soooo, after Chase dropped the hammer on me in November with AA and CLD, I called today to discuss the matter.

This is what I got via SP and some talking to:

CSP - original $15k to $4.8k to $10k

Freedom - original $6k to $2.2k to $6k

Slate - original $3k to $1.5k to $3.5k

What I did over the past 4-5 months since the CLD's:

-PIF'd the balances that I was carrying at the time ASAP

-continued to use the cards

-continued to PIF

-and continued to pay down my total revolving acct balances.  (she mentioned that she could see that my overall debt had been decreasing...a nice trend for them to see apparently.)

-She didn't say anything about the USuck acct at 82% utiliz.

Obviously I love CHASE again...never was really mad, just a bit salty that they did extend the courtesy by calling lst like BoA did during that time.

Obviously I have commented on your other situations, glad you got most of your limits back with Chase, sucks your CSP didn't quite get back to the 15k limit, but 10 is deffinetly acceptable and other limits as well all by SP..  Ya the were just limiting their risk, but stinks how banks go about doing this for the most part.. Glad the bleeding has ended!

Even if you drive me crazy in the Understanding FICO Scoring forum, I'm glad to see that they restored some of your CLs.  Good to know that Chase will adjust upwards after an AA.

Yay! I'm very glad you were able to get your limits nearly back to where they were before and they seemed very easy to work with.

I would say the same thing to Citi. Closed my Lowes card for nothing just to try to get them to reopen my accounts and was so mad for a while.

Since then I've more than made up for the losses in other ways and having a better portfolio of cards than I did before and higher limits on a couple too.

Oh, one thing the analyst/UW said that stuck with me was....'be sure to keep your balances below 33%'..  I guess she's referring to the balances that you may carry and not  the amount of your available credit that you may use during a cycle.

How's the saying go, sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards....Smiley LOL

I went backwards $30.4 k's worth, but gained $31.5k since the AA/CLD's 3-4 months ago....so I'm $1,100 in the black.
