CHASE-how soon?

I recently received my Continental Pres Plus MC and am getting multiple invites to apply for both the CO business version and United plus explorer business with a 35K sign on bonus. I know there have been multiple threads about chases one card every 6 mos or more recently one card every 30 days. Does this apply to business cards from them? If so, what is the minimum time I should wait. Don't want these offers to expire.

Re: CHASE-how soon?

Hi flyingmd, I'm gonna quote a guy who writes a pretty popular travel blog (http://travelsort.com/blog/understand-how-your-credit-score-works-to-maximize-credit-card-rewards):

Chase, for example, had a six month rule in the past, where you could only get a new Chase card every six months. This isn’t really the case anymore, though they’re still among the more restrictive for approving multiple cards in a short period of time. One of the things they’ll often offer to do, if you have an existing card, is to cancel it in lieu of a new one (and you still get the sign-up bonus), or shift over some of your credit line to a new card.

It doesnt say anything about business credit cards, but it does say it's pretty tough to get a 2nd Chase card (probably included business + personal?) within a short time. I know I just kinda throw this quote out there, I hope it's of some help.

Re: CHASE-how soon?

Thanks. There's been multiple threads on this board about chase and how frequently one can get a new account but none really address whether this policy includes business cards.

Re: CHASE-how soon?

I was wondering the same thing. I'd like to get a southwest business card, I got the personal one with the 50k signup bonus back in July. There was a guy on flyer talk that said he spaced out the applications by a week. He got approved for both. So I take that to mean that there is a different approach to business apps from the one card every 30 days rule. I'll see if I can find the exact thread.

Re: CHASE-how soon?

Have you searched Flyertalk or Milepoint? Those are generally better areas to search for this kind of thing.

Re: CHASE-how soon?

Found the thread, the southwest card is the main subject.  Read post #'s 154, 220, 229.  Looks like it can even be done on the same day.  If I had know that back in July I would have filled out the biz app then.  Hope this helps.
