No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Alright, it might be new to some as well as wellknown by others, this web site gives you an average of what card you'd get base on other people's applications, scores, income and more... so it doesnt hurt checking it out before applying ,also use comom sense , if you're in that average chances are you're not getting that card. think it over, check it out, let me know what you think.
hey that's pretty good, the results sound pretty accurate too. some of the cards are no longer offered though. thanks for the info
This website is useless!
Most of the cards have only a couple of applications. You can't base anything on this.
even with just a few applications, I find it more accurate then whogavemecredit. you can compare issuing banks on there and then look up threads on here and see a lot more approvals to back up results. HSBC, Capital One, GE, WFFNB we here them being approved all the time in low 600's if not lower with HSBC and then BestBuy MC, I have seen in the 400's approved for that!
If you dig deeper for a card, it has the all the applications reported. Useful for a few popular cards that have enough application (over 5). Not so useful, if only 1 or 2 report ( most cards).
Found this quite useful, thanks!
It's good to know about the site.
There is another site I find infinitely more useful for this type of info, and even its usefulness is limited.
I don't consider either of these two sites vital before app'ing for any CC, however - just informational.
If I could only check one (and of course I can check them all), I actually would prefer the credit card forums here as a top source of info on cards and useful criteria for being accepted - as far as we can determine on the "outside looking in." In my case, most of the helpful info on cards that we've been accepted for has come from myfico's Credit Cards forums.
And, of course, I would highly recommend this: http://www.myfico.com/Credit-Cards/ as a valuable source. For some reason, this tab is not visible while you're in the "Community" tab. But if you click on the 'Home" icon, "FICO Scores & Credit Reports", "Financial Help Center" or "Education" tabs up top, you will see the "Credit Card Center" tab appear.
Edited:
Hmmm....the columns simply say EQ EX TU VT. No where does it say FICO. I can never pass up an opportunity to educate, so I made a profile there & went to add my stats on the Nationwide Visa. Not til you get into that deep in the site, do you see that they ask for FICO's ...and the vantage score?? What the...?
When you look at their app dates, anything past last Feb showing an EX score...gotta be a FAKO score (except on the RARE occasion where they're posting a mortgage pull FICO). Even in the applicant details, they don't ask WHO the creditor pulled, which is usually a huge factor for those of us in the rebuilding stage. I may post the "who"
Like many other sites, it's a good tool, but not 100% reliable data. Still holds true. The data is only as good as the one inputing the info. (is inputing a real word??? hehehe)
I'm a member of that forum also. I like the cross comparisons between here and there, and yes, it's pretty accurate. The reason you don't see many approvals for some cards, is that they haven't been applied for as some others. It's a very good site with knowledgeable members as here. Much better than whogavemecredit.com as that site seems ancient now and too broad.
